M62 hen party crash driver admits causing Bethany Jones' death

A minibus driver has
admitted causing the death of a teenager in a crash on the M62 in West
Yorkshire as he drove a group of women to a hen party.
Bethany Jones, 18, died and several people were injured in
the crash between a minibus and a lorry, near Pontefract, in April last
year.James Johnson, 64, pleaded guilty to causing her death by dangerous driving.
The trainee nurse was in a group of 21 women being driven from South Elmsall to the celebration in Liverpool.
The crash left 11 women seriously injured, among them the bride-to-be.
Johnson, of Whytecote End, Bradford, was bailed at Leeds Crown Court to return to the court on 21 October, when he will be sentenced.
Kevin Ollerhead, 43, of Lincoln Crescent, St Helens, who was driving the lorry involved in the crash, denied causing the death by dangerous driving.
He is due to stand trial at Leeds Crown Court on 13 October.
