Long-time singleton and Hollywood superstar George Clooney has married his fiancée Amal Alamuddin in Venice
Clooney had breakfast with actress Cindy
Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber on Saturday morning before the
celebrations got under way
Crawford was one of the many celebrities on the guest list

But with huge media interest in the wedding, they couldn't escape the long lenses of the water-borne paparazzi
Although most - including Clooney's fellow Hollywood star Bill Murray - seemed happy to oblige the photographers
U2 front man Bono gave his trademark peace "v" salute
No stranger to celebrity photographs, US Vogue editor Anna Wintour also made her way to the party by speed boat
Clooney was happy to smile for onlookers.
The only public statement the actor made about the nuptials was via his
agent in a one-line confirmation he had wed
He was flanked on the boat by father of the bride Ramzi Alamuddin and joined by his parents Nick Clooney and Nina Bruce
The celebrations were held at the luxury Aman hotel where a suite can cost more than £3,000 a night
Matt Damon, Clooney's friend and co-star
in such films as Oceans 11 and Monuments Men, joined the couple for the
occasion, which continued well into Saturday night
The couple were pictured here on Friday but Clooney's bride appears to have avoided the photographers since
